Chapter 1

Once upon a time, in the late 1970s, my mum used to sew my clothes. She'd stitch letters and shapes onto them from scrap pieces of fabric, and create something that no one else in the world was wearing. It's become something of a family tradition, us Exelby girls sewing for nephews and nieces and friends' babies (and my mum for her first grandchild).
Because most of the designs I create are once-off, The Crazy Aunt Company doesn't have a catalogue. I'll be using this space to post photos of clothes adapted by The Crazy Aunt Company – and if you like anything you see or would like to place an order, please email me (narina@thecrazyauntcompany.co.za) and I'll get back to you with a price that includes postage.
